Preface

Dear Friends,

First of all, thank you for using Tata diagnostic software (TDS) for vehicle diagnosis.

The importance of “Vehicle Diagnostics” in the automobile industry has grown manifold in recent years

with the integration of electronics complexities in vehicle. Focus on ‘first time right’ diagnosis has achieved

immense importance as it is directly linked to customer satisfaction.

In an endeavor to enhance the diagnostic capability of our technicians at our channel partners’ workshop,

we have developed this “Diagnostic Manual” which focuses on the effective & efficient usage of TML

diagnostic softwares.This manual is an outcome of systematic study, followed by meticulous analysis of all

the diagnostics features involved. Ideas and inputs from our diagnostic experts of channel partner’s have

also immensely contributed to this work.

This manual will guide you for Vehicle Diagnostic Approach, effective usage of TML Diagnostic software

for complaints resolution, installation & operation of diagnostic software, license management of software,

fuel mileage software, Re-programming tool for updating the ECU’s software in field. All of these learnings

will equip you for accurate diagnosis of complaints & also to reduce the repair time. This manual will prove

as guiding aid for the service technicians to understand the functions & features of TML diagnostic tools.

We hope that this manual will enrich the knowledge & diagnostic capability significantly in the area of
