Read DTC’s

DTC’s recorded in the ECUs can be viewed along with the remedial measures which shall help in

diagnosing the vehicle. After resolving the DTC’s they can be cleared from ECU memory.DTC’s can

be saved for future reference. It requires technician and vehicle related information to save the DTC’s

in Excel file format.

Freeze Frame Data

Freeze frame data is a record of the engine conditions (fuel system, calculated load, engine coolant

temperature, engine speed, vehicle speed, etc.) when a malfunction is detected or DTC’s are

triggered. When troubleshooting, it is helped to determine whether vehicle was running or stopped,

the engine was warmed up or not, the air-fuel ratio was LEAN or RICH, and other data, from the time

the malfunction occurred.

There are few status related information of DTC’s like mentioned below:

Memorized DTC’s means that fault is not present in the current cycle.

•

Current DTC’s means that fault is present in the current cycle.
