The mileage test is to be conducted, with help of Fuel Consumption measuring tool in Diagnostic
software, where the road & traffic conditions permits you a steady and constant speed preferably on
highway. Plain road with very less traffic obstructions and less ups & downs and turns on the road with
following conditions of standard (non-adulterated) fuel; 2 persons in car,AC switched-off; gear changes
in a predetermined pattern. The vehicle should be driven at least for 10 Km. distance to get accurate
fuel consumption results.
Avoid sudden acceleration and also avoid unnecessary decelerations and stopping. Get
into top gear as soon as possible & maintain a steady / constant speed of 40 to 60 Kmph
during the test and check the results on tool.
